Blowing Rock Pizza Directory is a small, independent guide to the North Carolina High Country. There is no account system, no login, no checkout, and no saved search history. Most of what a typical e-commerce site collects about you simply does not happen here.

This page covers the little we do collect and why. Some parts of running any website involve the same standard plumbing, but we have kept the rest deliberately minimal.

What this site collects

Standard server information

Like most websites, the server records routine technical details in short-lived logs: the IP address that requested a page, the browser type, and the pages requested. We use this only to keep the site running and to find broken pages. We do not build profiles from it.

Nothing you type, unless you email us

We never ask for your name, address, or phone number. If you email info@blowingrockpizza.com to correct a listing, we see your email address in that message and use it only to reply and fix the directory.

No precise location tracking

We never ask your browser for GPS. The map shows restaurants, not where you are.

Cookies and advertising

This site serves ads through Google AdSense, which may set cookies to show advertising that is more relevant to you and to measure how often an ad appears. Google and its partners use these technologies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings or visit aboutads.info. You can also set your browser to refuse cookies or warn you before one is set. Because the directory itself does not rely on cookies, blocking them will not stop the site from working.

How we use data

• Keep the site working and available during busy leaf-season weekends.
• Spot listing errors so we can fix a closed restaurant or a bad phone number.
• Understand roughly where visitors come from at a town or county level, never an address level.
• Fund the site through the advertisements shown beside the listings.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. There is no list to sell.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you and to ask us to delete it. In practice the answer is usually: almost nothing, because we collect almost nothing. To make a request or ask a question about this policy, email info@blowingrockpizza.com.

Changes to this policy

If we add a feature that collects more, we will update this page and change the date above. We will not change the essentials — that we collect little and never sell it — without saying so clearly.
